KEMPTVILLE, Ont. -- Provincial police have released more information about a two-vehicle collision south of Ottawa that left two people injured.

Police say the crash occurred Wednesday when an SUV and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of County Road 44 and Beach Road just south of Kemptville, Ont.

The SUV's driver, Shelby Cooper, 21, of Ottawa, was taken to hospital with a broken wrist.

Megan Wheatley, 17, of Kemptville, who was a passenger in the SUV, suffered a concussion and was also taken to hospital.

The driver of the truck, a 53-year-old man from Consecon, south of Trenton, was not injured.

County Road 44 was closed for about eight hours as investigators remained on the scene.

No charges have been laid, and police say the accident is still under investigation.
