Ottawa police say a man who was found with burns on his body in a west-end motel is connected to a multi-million dollar fire on Richmond Road.
The $5-million blaze at Britannia Plaza was ignited early Friday morning. An hour later, police were called to the Travelodge on Carling Avenue for a disturbance.
At the motel, officers found a 22-year-old man with burns to 90 per cent of his body.
Two others at the motel were charged with arson.
Police say the injured man is still too critically injured to be interviewed.
