The Constance Bay man charged in connection with the hit and run death of a 26-year-old mother of twins made a brief court appearance Tuesday morning.

Jeremy Rees, 23,  is charged with criminal negligence causing death, impaired driving and failure to remain at the scene of a crash in the death of Erin Vance.

Vance died after being hit by a car while she was walking home from a St. Patrick's Day party with her boyfriend along Bayview Drive around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Rees, who knew Vance, turned himself into police Monday.
