Man treated for injuries following shooting in Ottawa's east end

A man in his 20s is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries following a late-night shooting in Ottawa's east end.

Emergency crews responded to reports of a shooting on Ogilvie Road, near St. Laurent Boulevard, at approximately 9:40 p.m. Thursday. Police say the shooting occurred at a building in the 1000 block of Ogilvie Road.

An Ottawa paramedic spokesperson tells CTV News Ottawa paramedics treated a man at the scene for gunshot wounds, and he was transported to hospital in serious condition.

The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating the shooting. Anyone with information related to the shooting or cellphone/dash cam video of the area at the time of the shooting is asked to contact investigators at 613-236-1222, ext. 5050.
