Nepean-Carleton MPP Lisa MacLeod officially launched her campaign to become the leader of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party on Sunday.

After months of speculation following the resignation of Tim Hudak, the announcement was made at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa.

MacLeod now joins a list of four others hoping to replace Hudak in the provincial party’s top job: Patrick Brown, Christine Elliott, Vic Fedeli and Monte McNaughton.

The new leader is expected to be announced on May 9, 2015.
