BRAMPTON, Ont. - Malcolm Subban stopped 32 of 33 shots, earning the game's first star, as the Belleville Bulls defeated the host Brampton Battalion 2-1 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Jordan Mayer and Daniil Zharkov each scored for the Bulls (28-28-1).
Sam Carrick scored the lone goal for the Battalion (31-19-9), who had their four-game winning streak snapped.
Keegan Wilson turned away 23 shots in defeat.
Belleville went 0 for 2 on the power play as Brampton scored once on three opportunities with the man advantage.
