BRAMPTON, Ont. - Rookie goaltender Charlie Graham made 35 saves to earn his first Ontario Hockey League win as the Belleville Bulls edged the Brampton Battalion 3-2 on Tuesday.

The win snapped a five-game winless streak for Belleville while the Battalion lost for the first time in regulation in 12 games.

At Brampton, Ont., Joseph Cramarossa scored at the 6:38 mark of the second to give Belleville (22-17-1) a 3-1 lead. Captain Luke Judson and Adam Payerl had goals in the first period.

Patrik Machac pulled Brampton (23-11-7) to within one about 10 minutes later. Barclay Goodrow had opened the scoring 5:22 into the first.

"I have to give a lot of credit to the guys in front of me," said Graham. "The win for us tonight was a huge confidence boost considering our recent struggles."

Matej Machovsky started in net for the Battalion, but gave up three goals on six shots and was pulled after Cramarossa scored. Keegan Wilson stopped all 20 shots he faced in relief.

Belleville did not score on its two power plays and Brampton couldn't capitalize on its one man advantage.

Elsewhere in the OHL it was: Barrie 2 Niagara 1 and Kitchener 2 Peterborough 1.
