Five thousand people biked, walked, and inline skated Sunday morning to raise more than $560,000 for pediatric cancer care at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

Balloons were released in the sky above the CN Cycle for CHEO to commemorate the life of each child who has died from cancer.

"It's important to give back to something that gave back so much to me, and who is always there for me," said Sean Leslie, 17, who is in leukemia remission.

Five-year-old Isla MacIntosh, also living with leukemia, said she was "coming here to raise money."
