OTTAWA - Ottawa police say they are working with Minnesota authorities in the investigation into the suicide last year of Carleton University student Nadia Kajouji.
Minnesota police say they are trying to determine if someone in the state was involved in the death of the 18-year-old freshman.
The young woman's father, Mohamad Kajouji, has said she had an email conversation about suicide with someone from the United States last March 9 -- the day she disappeared.
Her body was found about five weeks later along the Rideau River, about three kilometres from the Carleton campus.
Police in Minnesota say they have spoken to a person of interest, but declined to reveal a name or age.
Ottawa police say they have been discussing the development with Minnesota authorities since mid-January.
