A 26-year-old man is charged with armed robbery after a citizen's arrest at a drug store in Arnprior on Thursday.
A male suspect allegedly entered Clancy's Drug Store Thursday morning armed with a weapon.
An employee quickly ran outside the pharmacy and locked the suspect inside.
When the man tried to get away through the backdoor, the owner's husband and other bystanders tackled him, holding the suspect down until police arrived.
Darren Pearce, of no fixed address, appeared in court to face a charge of armed robbery on Friday.
Ontario Provincial Police say their investigation is ongoing.
