KINGSTON, Ont. - Ryan Spooner scored a goal and assisted on four others as the Kingston Frontenacs beat the Saginaw Spirit 5-3 on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Tyler J. Brown and Petr Beranek each scored twice to round out the Frontenacs (5-13-3) scoring.

Vincent Trocheck had a goal and two assists to lead the Spirit (7-12-2) while Josh Shalla and Steven Strong added singles.

Igor Bobkov made 39 saves for the win.

Jake Paterson started in goal for Saginaw and allowed four goals on 34 shots before being relieved by Tadeas Galansky to start the third period. Galansky made seven saves and allowed one goal.

The Frontenacs went 2-for-5 on the power play while the Spirit failed to score on nine opportunities with the man advantage.
