The Phoenix Coyotes goaltender was named the NHL's first star of the month after collecting 11 straight wins.
His streak is a franchise record and tied for the longest in the NHL this season.
Smith was also tied for first in February with a .952 save percentage and ranked second with a 1.42 goals-against average.
Ottawa's Erik Karlsson earned second star honours after recording seven goals and 11 assists in February.
Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos is the third star after leading the league in goals with 11 and points with 22.
