An Ottawa councillor is warning OC Transpo to shape up - or have city council take over the department.
Coun. Maria McRae has described the bus service as "outrageous" and is demanding all service problems be resolved within the next two weeks, by the time students return from March Break.
Service problems include transit repairs, buses not arriving on time and not having enough buses on the roads.
Some city councillors are being swamped with calls from transit users who are complaining about the poor service.
Transit director Alain Mercier says the city is working to restore service levels.
