OC Transpo has started to pull many of its buses off high volume routes.
Management at OC Transpo is blaming the service cuts on staff shortages and a backlog of buses in need of repairs.
Fewer buses en route Tuesday morning meant headaches for many commuters.
"I do want to point out that I've been waiting here now a couple of minutes and usually the 95 is right here when I get here - maybe about a two minute wait," said bus rider John Woodard. "It's been about 5 minutes now, 10 minutes."
OC Transpo says the schedule changes will be in effect until the end of March.
That means many people will have to change their routines in order to get to work and appointments on time.
"It looks like we're probably going to have to change our schedule. Our morning routines at least on the weekdays, to make sure we get here when the 95 gets here," said Woodard.
Some buses pulled off high volume routes, however, were assigned to rural and express routes, making those riders happy with the changes.
"With more buses it's fantastic. And today they really surprised me because they had one of the bigger buses, so I even got a seat," said Stephanie Armstrong.
