Would you pay $24,000 to have dinner with country superstar Carrie Underwood and husband Mike Fisher?
Two groups bid $24,000 each at a fundraiser at Fratelli restaurant in Kanata to have dinner with the celebrity couple. The silent auction raised thousands of dollars for Rogers House and Candlelighters, a childhood cancer charity.
"I'll eat anything. I love Italian food. I come obviously to Fratelli a lot after games and Carrie's a vegetarian so she'll stick to the salads and pastas," Fisher told CTV Ottawa at the fundraiser.
Several hockey players were on hand for a dinner and silent auction at Fratelli restaurant on Tuesday night.
One bidder paid $4,500 to fly to Mont Tremblant for dinner and a round of golf with Chris Phillips and his wife, Erin.
Another paid $5,000 for a trip for two to Italy, which includes a farewell dinner with Jason Spezza and his wife, Jennifer.
