Unless you stayed offline, turned off the television or radio and stayed away from the paper, it was hard to miss the scuffle in the House of Commons Wednesday.

Reaction to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s physical altercation with opposition MPs was swift with some people outraged and others believing it was blown out of proportion.

“I don’t think he did it with any malicious intent but it was rude,” said one man on Elgin Street the day after the incident.

While many take issue with what happened, others say it’s time to move on, noting Trudeau’s repeated apologies.

Ottawa’s Goodfellow Creative Marketing created a spoof of the incident. The CEO said it wasn’t about making a political statement but to draw attention to the many reactions that have come out of it.

The Liberals eventually withdrew the original motion that led to the scuffle.
