Ottawa Police are investigating the first shooting of the year.
Police were called to Riga Private in the west end after reports of shots fired just after 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015. Police say a man in his twenties was shot twice in the back.
The man was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. His condition has since been updated to critical.
The Guns and Gangs unit is investigating.
