Ottawa police are investing a sexual assault in the ByWard Market area of the city.
Police say a woman in her late teens was approached by an unknown man and sexually assaulted around 12:45 a.m. on Feb. 1. They say the man then continued to follow the woman afterward but two other men intervened when the woman asked for help.
The suspect then fled the area. He is described as in his 20s with light brown skin, standing five feet seven inches tall with a skinny build. Police say he spoke English with an unknown accent.
They would like to speak to the two men who assisted the victim.
