Ontario Provincial Police say human remains discovered near Napanee belong to a missing man who was murdered.
Police discovered the remains in a field, north of Highway 401, in Tyendinega Township on Oct. 16.
An autopsy concluded the remains belong to 48-year-old Ronald Trebilcock, of Clearview Township, near Collingwood, Ont.
Trebilcock was reported missing by friends and co-workers on Sept. 9. He was last seen five days earlier.
Police say a post-mortem revealed Trebilcock's death was the result of foul play.
