Kevin Bloodworth shouldn't be alive, at least not according to doctors.

When he was diagnosed with brain cancer, he was given a small chance of living for a couple of years at most.

That was in 2008. Today he is cancer-free, prompting one doctor to call his recovery the closest thing to a miracle he has ever seen. Bloodworth believes that God and science cured him.

"It helped me understand some things that I never would have uncovered if not for this challenge," Bloodworth said. "In a lot of ways, I thank god that I was given cancer because there were a lot of things I was missing."

Bloodworth was an international entrepreneur, bouncing between 19 countries a year and working with more than 130 businesses.

But when he got cancer, all of that changed.

He left the hospital 48 hours after undergoing brain surgery and re-directed his life.

"It became about my children, and my legacy and my community and I really just wanted to make a difference so I'm supporting local businesses," he said.

After receiving extensive chemotherapy treatments, Bloodworth was also told he would no longer be able to father children. But he defied that prognosis as well. Bloodworth and his wife just had their fourth child.

"I can thank god for the cancer because it showed me my weaknesses," he said. "It showed me my strengths and it showed me opportunity for growth."
