A 65 year-old woman was killed after her car lost control and slammed into a tree on Highway 417 near the Ontario-Quebec border.
OPP say the Quebec woman was driving eastbound when her car suddenly left the road near the St-Eugène exit about 5 kilometres west of the Quebec border.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her identity has not been released
The eastbound lanes of Highway 417 at the collision scene remain closed and a detour has been set up at County Road 17.
