It's hours to go until game number one -- Pittsburgh and Ottawa. First some lessons from the road. Trust GPS. We thought we knew better than GPS. We don't. What should have been an eight-hour trip turned into a 12-hour marathon. We messed up big-time. Trust GPS.
Packing a suitcase is step one. Bringing it is step two. I forgot step two -- my suitcase is back in Ottawa. Stop number one in Pittsburgh...a shopping mall to buy some clothes.
Pittsburgh now...great sports town and nice people. They're all buzzing about Ben Rothlesberger… the Steelers quarterback who's been a bit of an idiot. Lots of people say he's the anti-Sidney. Crosby is like gold in this town.
The Senators are on the ice now. They seem loose. Why wouldn't they be? New series...I like their chances.
