OTTAWA -

Investigators are searching for the cause of a small plane crash near Carleton Place.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a small plane crash landing on Cavanagh Road in Beckwith Township just after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The ultra-light plane struck a hydro pole and wires as it landed.

The lone occupant of the plane was uninjured.

The OPP says the incident was reported to Transport Canada and the Transportation Safety Board.
