The schedule has been released for the Ottawa Senators' 2011-2012 NHL season.
The Sens' 20th season in the league starts Oct. 7 in Detroit, where new Ottawa assistant coach Paul MacLean will take on his former team.
Detroit is coached by Mike Babcock, who hired MacLean to be his assistant while they were both with Anahiem.
Ottawa's home opener is Oct. 11 against Minnesota, then they'll host the new Winnipeg team Oct. 20.
Every Canadian team will visit Scotiabank Place this season, including Stanley Cup finalist Vancouver on Dec. 10 and three visits from the Toronto Maple Leafs – Oct. 30, Feb. 4 and March 17.
Mike Fisher fans will see him return to Canada's capital on Feb. 9 with the Nashville Predators.
Other regular-season highlights include the first of three visits from the Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins Dec. 14, the Hockey Day in Canada game against Edmonton on Feb. 11, and the home finale against those same Bruins on April 5.
Ottawa will also host its first All-Star weekend Jan. 28 and 29.
Season and some other ticket plans are on sale now, opening night tickets and smaller bundles will be available Aug. 12, and all single-game tickets will be on sale Sept. 9.
