Ottawa mayor Larry O'Brien says he doesn't want to run for a second term.
He does though tell the Ottawa Sun that his wife Colleen is urging him to run again and complete the job he set out to do.
O'Brien also said he hopes eight or nine councillors won't be back next term. And he believes anyone who's been around the table 10, 15 or 20 years should be gone.
O'Brien also weighed in on Jim Watson's run for mayor. He described Watson's term as mayor in the late 90s as bland, without vision and excitement.
The mayor also believes that veteran councilor Alex Cullen has no chance of winning the mayor's race.
O'Brien has said he'll announce in June whether he'll seek a second term.
