Nortel employees will be going home Friday night with a bonus payment cheque.
The annual incentive plan was cancelled for last year due to the company entering bankruptcy protection. It has been revamped to provide many workers with a few thousand dollars.
The plan is based on salary and is designed to entice workers to remain with Nortel. Senior managers also qualify, despite already receiving hefty bonuses.
