Trenton man wins $1 million
A Trenton, Ont. man became a new millionaire after winning the "Ontario Jackpot" of $1,032,525 in the April 13 Lottario draw.
Timothy Annett, who works as a material handler, says he typically picks up a Lottario ticket when the jackpot is high.
"I considered picking up a Lottario ticket while at the store but decided against it because I noticed the jackpot had recently been won,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings.
"I went back out to my car and noticed I already had a Lottario ticket in my centre console. I scanned the ticket on the OLG app, and I was shocked. I couldn’t believe that it was my ticket that had won the jackpot! I walked back into the store in a daze. It was a wonderfully chaotic experience."
Annett says he plans to purchase a house and travel. The winning ticket was purchased at The Round Hill Gas Station on Highway 33 in Trenton.
