All the fun will have to move next year. And though lots of people look forward to Super Ex, beyond the grounds of Lansdowne Park the excitement has dropped.
Cindy Foran has lived on the street beside Lansdowne Park for 10 years. She says it's not what it used to be, and she won't miss it.
"It's bittersweet," she says. "It's a lot of work -- a lot of fun. But I think it's time for it to change."
Money made from parking
Time for change, even though some on her street make money off the Ex. Some charge $15 to $20 for a parking spot on their driveway.
"One of my neighbours, he said last year he made over $2,800," says resident Emad Younis.
Noise a concern
Maya Fagan, who is a Chicago resident, said her Uncle Billy takes her to the Ex every year. She adds it doesn't matter where it is, as long as it still exists -- even though some think the proposed new location on Albion Road is too far.
"It's still in Ottawa, so it's okay," she says.
Some of the people living close by will be happy. For them, Super Ex is just Super Noisy.
"Some neighbours during this period of the exhibition, they go for vacation," says Younis.
