Ottawa police have charged a Montreal man in relation to thefts targeting Zipcar rentals.

Police said that five Zipcar vehicles were fraudulently obtained and subsequently stolen between March and September of last year.

All vehicles have since been recovered.

Mohamed M'Chergui, 25, of Montreal has been charged with five counts each of possessing property exceeding $5,000, theft of a motor vehicle, unauthorized credit card use, among other charges.
