Halifax-bound passengers make it home, others deal with delays

Many holiday travellers heading to the Maritimes from Ottawa have arrived at their final destination.

Air Canada organized a special flight to get several passengers to Halifax at 1 a.m. on Tuesday.

After spending two nights at the airport, many passengers told CTV Ottawa the delays helped introduce them to many new faces.

Meanwhile, the airport continues to deal with a backlog of passengers waiting to fly home for the holidays.

A series of winter storms across the country caused havoc for air travellers in the capital after many flights were cancelled earlier this week.
