Gatineau police say a 32-year-old man and a woman are in custody after a woman reported being abducted and taken from Ottawa to Hull early Tuesday morning.
Police say the man was arrested at 61 Capucines St. in Gatineau after they received an urgent call at 4:45 a.m.
The victim, about 20, says she was kidnapped, sexually assaulted and held against her will.
Officers surrounded the home for hours uncertain if any danger lurked inside.
Eventually a SWAT team busted in Tuesday afternoon and found the house empty.
Police say the woman is safe and was taken to hospital for assessment.
The investigation is ongoing.
