Six homes in Gatineau were evacuated today over fears the hillside behind them may collapse.
The homes are on Lafrance street, in the Gatineau sector, east of downtown.
A hydro worker doing maintenance Sunday noticed the slope appeared unstable and notified the city's emergency services. The residents left their homes voluntarily.
Inspectors will look closely at the terrain today to determine whether it's safe for the families to return.
