The Ontario Provincial Police Professional Standards Bureau has charged a 20-year member with a number of offences.

OPP say Provincial Constable George Duke, 52, has been charged with:

  • Theft Over $5,000
  • Possession of Property Obtained By Crime, Over $5,000
  • Breach of Trust
  • Unlawful Possession of a Restricted Firearm
  • Unsafe Storage of a Firearm
  • Unsafe Storage of Ammunition
  • Possession of a Firearm Without a Licence
  • Possession of Schedule II Substance

Duke had been posted to the Leeds County OPP detachment.

He’s been suspended with pay and is expected to appear in a Brockville court Dec. 11, 2015.
