Ottawa-Centre MPP, and Community Safety Minister, Yasir Naqvi, says he will push his government to reduce speeds on residential streets across the province.
Right now, unless posted otherwise, the speed limit on residential streets is 50KM/H. Naqvi says that should be lowered to 40KM/H, and in school zones to 30 KM/H.
Naqvi wants his government to table an amendment to the highway traffic act this fall.
