Drivers trying to get into the city from the south end experienced delays because of a single vehicle crash on Prince of Wales Dr.
Just after 2:30 am, a tractor trailer went off the road, struck a hydro pole and ended up on its side. The 31-year-old driver was able to get out of the cab. He was treated for abdominal and back injuries and taken to hospital in stable condition.
Hazmat crews are on scene after fuel from the truck started leaking. Hydro crews are also there, repairing the damaged pole.
Prince of Wales remains closed in both directions between Lodge and Jockvale. No word yet on when it will re-open.
