The Gatineau Olympiques have now ridden goalie Michael Nishi to a three-game win streak after he shut down the visiting Victoriaville Tigres 5-0 on Wednesday.

After Taylor Burke scored in the first period, the Olympiques (9-13-1) got four goals in the second from Emile Poirier, Deric Boudreau (his first QMJHL goal) and two from Gabriel Bourret.

Nishi made 24 saves for the shutout, his second in a row (and nearly third if not for a last-minute goal allowed against Sherbrooke on Saturday).

Guillaume Decelles allowed five goals on 16 shots in the loss for the Tigres (10-9-4).

Both teams failed to convert on the power play, Gatineau on three chances and Victoriaville on six opportunities.
