Ottawa firefighters were called to a blaze on Joliet Avenue in Vanier at midnight Wednesday, Mar. 18, 2015.
The fire destroyed the home, and a woman was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation and sent to hospital.
A dog was also treated by Ottawa fire and taken to bylaw services.
Damage to the home is estimated at $200,000.
