Ontario motorists appear to be getting the message about selt belt use and not driving after consuming alcohol.

The latest OPP figures show 45 people were killed on Ontario highways in 2014 - the lowest number in five years.  Police say more drivers are buckling up, and fewer are driving while impaired.  57 people died in highway crashes in 2010 - half of those were alcohol related.

While these numbers are encouraging, police continue to warn motorists about the dangerous of driving distracted.  More people are killed while texting behind the wheel.
