A motorcyclist is dead after driving into a vehicle in western Quebec Saturday evening.
La Surete du Quebec said a woman in her 60s was driving northbound on Highway 105 in Messines, about 120 kilometres north of downtown Ottawa.
She was turning into a parking lot around 5:50 p.m. when a 47-year-old man ran into her and was thrown from his motorcycle, according to police.
He later died from his injuries.
Police said the woman, who was uninjured but in a state of shock, will likely face a fine but no criminal charges.
The road was closed until around midnight while police investigated.
The victim’s name should be released on Monday.
