OTTAWA - Tyler Toffoli scored two goals including the overtime winner Thursday night as the Ottawa 67's defeated the Belleville Bulls 3-2 in Ontario Hockey League playoff action.

Toffoli waited for Belleville netminder Malcolm Subban to make the first move and the scored the winner at 2:02 of the fourth period.

"I just got a loose puck and was lucky enough to have a chance and I out waited Subban and was happy it went in," Toffoli said.

Steven Janes had a goal and an assist for Ottawa, while Shane Prince added two assists.

The 67's now lead the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final 1-0 with Game 2 in Ottawa on Friday night.

At Ottawa, Luke Judson and Adam Payerl scored for the Bulls.

The 67's won seven of eight regular-season meetings with the Bulls this year and picked up a point in their only loss as the Bulls won in overtime back in early November.

Ottawa also finished the regular season 17 points ahead of the Bulls. Last season, the 67's were swept in the opening round by the Sudbury Wolves despite collecting 31 more points than the Wolves during the regular season.

"We can't take anyone lightly. The guys last year learned that real quick," Prince said earlier in the week.

Elsewhere, Niagara beat Oshawa 8-2 and Barrie 3 Mississauga 1.
