Shots fired in Carlington overnight

The Ottawa Police Service is investigating reports of gunfire in Ottawa's west end on Tuesday evening.

Police say on social media they were called to a call of shots fired in the Trenton Avenue area, just east of Merivale Road at 11:25 p.m.

Multiple shell casings were located, with no injuries reported.

No arrests have been made at this time, police say.

Police did not provide more details.

An investigation is ongoing.
