Ottawa Police are looking for three young men suspected in a brazen swarming of a student on a bike path near Carleton University Thursday night.
Police say around 9:30 a male cyclist was stopped by a suspect who jumped out of the bushes alongside a bike path parallel to the canal near the Hog’s Back bridge. Two other men then approached and police say they tackled the cyclist to the ground, assaulted him and demanded he hand over his backpack.
The cyclist received minor injuries. The suspects are described as black and approximately 16 to 20 years old. They were last seen running towards Hog’s Back.
