Ottawa police continued their investigation into the Yazdan Ghiasi murder Saturday morning.
Police used metal detectors to comb the snow-covered grass around The Windfields and Fisher Estates apartment buildings located on Fisher Avenue near Baseline Road.
Area residents say they believe one of the suspects lived with his mother on the 8th floor of Windfields Estates, located at 1140 Fisher Ave.
The search wrapped up Saturday afternoon. Police wouldn't say if any evidence was found.
Yazden Ghiasi, 16, was found on Booth Street in downtown Ottawa around 11 a.m. Monday and pronounced dead in hospital. He died of a gunshot wound.
Abdulhamid Wehbe, 20, has been charged with second-degree murder in Ghiasi's death. Two other men, Zakaria Dourhnou, 18, and Khaled Wehbe, 19, have been charged with acting as accessories after the fact.
