Ottawa police are asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects after a shooting in the city's south end early Thursday morning.

It happened in the area of Lorry Greenberg Dr. and Blohm Dr. at around 2:00 a.m. Ottawa police say a 22-year-old man was approached by two unknown males. Several gun shots were fired, and the victim was struck in the leg.

Paramedics treated him at the scene before transporting him to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

This is the 19th shooting incident so far this year.

There were 23 shootings during all of last year.
