Ottawa police are asking for the public's help as they continue to search for a man wanted in connection to a sexual assault along an Ottawa bike path in the city's west end.

Police have released a sketch of a man who grabbed a 30-year-old woman as she was running on a bike path near Hanlon Avenue and Hindley Street on Aug. 2. After being grabbed, police say the woman was dragged into a wooded area, sexually assaulted and then beaten.

Police say the suspect is described as a thin man with a muscular build between 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants at the time of the incident.

The assault happened not far from where 39-year-old Pamela Kosmack's beaten and half-naked body was found by a woman walking her dog on a bike path near Britannia Park in June.

Anyone with information is asked to call Ottawa police at 613-236-1222 ext. 5760 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-TIPS.
