Ottawa police are investigating after receiving a report of a sex assault in the city's east end.
Police say although they received the report Friday, the assault occurred at about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday when a woman in her 30s was walking near Brittany Drive and Kristin Way.
Police say the attack happened when an unknown male knocked the woman to the ground and fondled her. She was able to escape and immediately fled the area, sustaining minor injuries.
The suspect is described as an English-speaking white male who has a French accent. He is about 5'10", with a slim build, brown hair and dark eyes. Police say the man was wearing a blue tank top and light blue jeans at the time of the attack.
