Ottawa police say they believe the attempted robbery of a taxi driver in late July is linked to two others in June.

A taxi driver suffered minor injuries after a man pulled a knife during an attempted robbery near the Chateau Laurier July 25.

The suspect, described as a thin Caucasian man about five feet six inches tall with short, light brown hair, is believed to be linked to two other taxi robberies in June.

Both those robberies, on June 13 and 14, saw a man that matches that description get a cab on Rideau Street and pull a knife once they arrived at Montreal Road.

No money was taken the first time, but the driver suffered a knife wound to his finger.

On June 14 an undisclosed amount of cash was taken, with the driver suffering cuts to his head and fingers.
