No charges will be laid following a nearly five-month long police investigation into an alleged sexual assault at a party hosted by members of the Gloucester Rangers junior hockey team last fall, according to Ottawa police.

The investigation began after a 17-year-old girl claimed she was sexually assaulted during a party at a home in Stittsville on Nov. 19.

The Facebook group that advertised the event called it a Rangers party and featured the team's logo as the profile picture.

The police investigation of the alleged assault is now closed.
