Ottawa police are investigating a possible drowning after a man’s body was found in the Rideau River Tuesday night.
Police said they got a call around 8 p.m. saying a body was floating in the river near North River Road and Queen Mary Street east of downtown Ottawa.
Fire crews then took his body out of the water near the shoreline.
The man’s identity is unknown and police are saying little else about the incident.
