An Akwasasne man has been found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of his infant son and the attempted murder of his common-law spouse.
Although Carson Day was originally charged with first-degree murder, he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
His 20-month-old son, Landon, was found dead on July 14, 2007 in a Cornwall Island apartment building. The baby's mother suffered a severe cut to her neck.
A court date for sentencing will be set in January.
